About international cooperation

Through its international cooperation projects and programs, Dynamo International partners with street social worker organizations that are members of the Dynamo International Street Workers Network (DISWN).

Present around the world, these organizations support children in street situations and defend their rights.

Dynamo International’s objective is to respond to the needs identified in the field by these member organizations, by providing them with support.

All of these projects are part of the “Leave No One Behind” theme of the UN 2030 Agenda and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to reducing inequalities, education, peace, and health.

Dynamo International and its partners have the mission to contribute to the defense and respect of children’s rights, to the implementation of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as to improving the living conditions of children and young people, girls and boys in street situations around the world.

To realize this mission, cooperation projects and programs are organized around several intervention axes:

  • Support and care for children in street situations (Psychosocial support and socio-professional, educational, family and community reintegration);
  • Advocacy with public authorities to defend and protect children’s rights, particularly children in street situations;
  • Raising awareness among communities and the general public about children’s rights;
  • Capacity building for child protection stakeholders;
  • Networking and coordination among professionals (establishment and coordination of street social worker platforms);
  • Recognition of social street work and the status of street social worker.

The role of Dynamo International in these international cooperation projects and programs

Concretely, Dynamo International provides support in various forms:

  • Grant management in collaboration with partners that guarantees financial transparency;
  • Project co-financing;
  • Technical and methodological support;
  • Involvement of these partners in DISWN to achieve better visibility;
  • Advocacy support with public institutions and international organizations for the defense of children’s rights;

Through its projects, Dynamo International aims to promote a society based on exchange, encounter, tolerance, justice, equality, and international solidarity.

These various international cooperation projects and programs contribute to building a better perception of children and young people in street situations and their realities. The challenge is that every child, wherever they live, can access social and educational assistance, in accordance with the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.
