The Words from the Street forum was founded in 2002 by the Dynamo International Street Workers Network. Its main purpose is to encourage the exchange of good practices between social street workers accross the world.

The first edition took place in 2002, in Brussels and has been a great success. Therefore, a second one was organized in Brussels in 2010, also in Brussels. The event gathered 800 participants and led to the writing of a manual of recommendations : “Social street work – Social street workers’ recommendations for combating poverty and social exclusion”.
