The Eurodyssey programme, managed by the Assembly of European Regions (AER), enables young jobseekers aged between 18 and 35 to undertake a 3 to 6 month internship in one of the following regions:
- Cyprus: Union of Cyprus Municipalities
- Spain: Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia
- In Georgia: Adjara
- In Italy: Sardinia and Valle d’Aosta
- In Portugal: Azores and Madeira
- In Romania: Timiş
WHO CAN APPLY?
To obtain a grant for the Eurodyssey internship programme, you must meet all the following conditions:
- Be domiciled in the Brussels-Capital Region
- Be a citizen of one of the Member States of the European Economic Area or have access to the labour market
- Be registered with Actiris as an unemployed job seeker
- Have a clear and realistic professional project in the field of the work placement and demonstrate the added value of mobility in the context of a return to employment in Brussels
- Be no more than 30 or 35 years old at the time of departure (depending on the region chosen).
Please note: as applications are subject to validation, submitting one does not automatically guarantee that you will receive a grant.
THE BENEFITS
- A local contact will be able to guide and help you throughout your placement.
- Most regions arrange for trainees to take a language course on arrival. This can be either an intensive course lasting 3 or 4 weeks before the work placement, or a longer course running concurrently with the work placement.
- The host regions will help you to find accommodation once you have arrived. Most regions provide accommodation for the first month.
- Healthcare/repatriation and civil liability insurance is provided by the host region (although you must remain covered by your mutual insurance company in Belgium).
