The Workaway network is a global network that connects travellers who want to have an immersive experience with hosts (individuals, families, groups, …) who need help with their projects or activities.

Workaway volunteers – also known as “Workawayers” – can, for example, help with gardening or DIY, creative projects with children, house-sitting, volunteering for charity, natural construction, teaching or practice of a language… The list is endless!

  • You’re at least 18 years old

  • Depending on the mission

  • More than 50,000 opportunities in 170 different countries

  • Usually, guests provide bed and breakfast for 4 to 5 hours of work per day, 5 days per week
  • The network is there to support you and help you find hosts or other Workawayers
  • If your assignment is in a host company, you will be accommodated and paid at least the minimum wage in effect
